Skinners Falls sits at a wide, rocky bend in the Delaware River near Milanville, NY — one of the last truly unspoiled swimming holes in the upper Delaware Valley. Alex shot this on a late-summer afternoon as locals picked their way across the exposed river rocks, the low water revealing the geological spine of the riverbed. The light was flat and warm, the kind of diffused overcast that softens everything without washing it out. It's a quiet document of a place that hasn't changed much — Skinners Falls, Delaware River, Sullivan County, upstate New York at its most unhurried.
